about Rotaract

Rotaract Club of Karur, an organization for young adults, was founded in 1986. The initiative for organizing a Rotaract Club came from Balaji Rajagopal, who had been a Rotaractor in his college days. The prospective members started meeting in the Naradha Gana Sabha hall under the guidance of Rotary Club of Karur. The 60 + Charter members of the club was a blend of self-employed youth, students and bankers.

The club was formally inaugurated on 27th Feb 1986 by the District Governor Syed Ibrahim with Rtr. Balaji Rajagopal as Charter President and Rtr. C. Sridhar as Charter Secretary. Other office-bearers included Rtr. K.Ravindrakumar as Vice President, Rtr. Ranjanbau as Treasurer and Rtr. Sumanth Ramachandran as Joint Secretary.
